Koray Tarhan

As previously reported in this blog, Tarhan has been a member of the show’s cast since the production opened in October 2023. In addition to being an ensemble member, Tarhan is the show’s fight captain. And he is the understudy for the show’s star, Daniel Radcliffe. Tarhan will step in for Radcliffe for three performances on April 2 and 3. As Charley Kringas, Tarhan will sing the show’s beautiful ballad “Good Thing Going.”

As previously reported in this blog, Tarhan was featured in a two-page spread in the Chicago Sun-Times published Sunday, March 17, 2024. Tarhan’s professional theatre credits prior to Merrily We Roll Along include the title role in Stephen Schwartz’s musical Pippin at the Mercury Theatre in Chicago, as well as roles in the musicals Memphis at Chicago’s Porchlight Music Theatre and Newsies at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora, Illinois. When he was a student at Columbia College, Tarhan played the rock singer Roger in the Columbia College Theatre Department’s mainstage production of Rent.

Merrily We Roll Along is a musical drama about the complicated relationship among three close friends: musical-theatre writers Charley Kringas and Franklin Shepard (played by Jonathan Groff) and theatre critic Mary Flynn (played by Lindsay Mendez). The show runs through July 7 at the Hudson Theatre, located at 141 W. 44th in New York City’s midtown Manhattan theatre district.
