As a part-time, paid editorial intern for our Chicago edition, you will get to be a part of the inner workings of a daily internet publication.
Your Mission Should You Choose to Accept it:
-Assist our Chicago staff in setting the editorial calendar and developing angles for stories
-Help conduct research for stories
-Go on local scouting and information gathering assignments two to three times a week
-Assist with photo research
-Discuss and pitch your own creative ideas
From Within Your Arsenal:
-Must be highly organized, efficient and a hard worker
-Must have an interest in editorial and social media
-MUST have excellent writing and communication skills
-Strong interpersonal and phone skills are required
-Must have an interest in the local food and drink scene
-Must live in Chicago OR be willing and able to travel to the city when needed
-Have access to a car OR be comfortable taking public transit to various neighborhoods within the city
-Must be at least 21 years old, as you may be required to investigate certain bars and their adult beverages. Tough, we know.
