Spring 2021 Internship and Career Fair – February 11th, 2021 – 12:00pm to 4:00pm
The Spring 2021 Virtual Internship & Career Fair brings organizations to recruit undergraduate, graduate students, and alumni from all majors and concentrations for unpaid and paid internships, and career-based employment opportunities in the arts and media industries.
This fair is open to all current Columbia College Chicago students and alumni. Resumes are required to meet with employers.
Please follow these instructions to sign up for the Virtual Fair and Available Sessions with Employers:
- Click on the Events tab from the Top Menu bar in Handshake: Select Fair and Register
- Once you’re registered for the fair, you’ll be able to view and sign up for available employer sessions (please check the Fair page daily, if you do not see any available time slots)
- Click the Available Sessions tab on the upper left hand of the page: use filters on this page to narrow down the displayed list of employers
- Click on the name of the session you’d like to sign up for. Make sure your profile privacy is set to Community. Please refer to the Profile Privacy Option in Handshake to update these options.

Virtual Portfolio Reviews – Thursday, February 11th 2021 – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
The Career Center invites you to take part in portfolio reviews with alumni and industry professionals. Professionals understand you are still a student with work in progress! Their feedback will be instrumental in helping your portfolio or website communicate your strengths and capabilities in their best light.
How do Virtual Portfolio Reviews work?
Professionals understand you are still a student with work in progress! Their feedback will be instrumental in helping your portfolio or website communicate your strengths and capabilities in their best light. Reviews are 15 minutes each, allowing you to share one or more projects with the reviewer and hear their insights via live video.
Reviews take place on the InternX platform. You will need to create an account there with your Columbia email address before you can register for reviews. https://app.theinternx.com/student/sign-in Log in, choose Virtual Portfolio Reviews under the Fair Tab, and then click on Meetings. Choose the industry professional(s) you’d like to meet with and schedule a review. Reviews are on a first come, first served basis.
