As a writer for the OtherPeoplesPixels blog, artist Stacia Yeapanis has seen the good, the bad, and the dysfunctional when it comes to artists’ websites. She’s reviewed thousands of online portfolios and interviewed hundreds of artists. She will guide us through her essential tips for clearly and creatively representing our artwork online, design tricks to optimize the functionality of websites for visitors, and strategies for maintaining a simple, up-to-date portfolio site.
Using the OtherPeoplesPixels platform as an example, participants will put Stacia’s insights into practice by completing preliminary development of their own portfolio sites. Whether you have an artist portfolio site that needs a few tweaks or you’ve never ventured into the digital realm, this workshop will offer a way of evaluating your portfolio website needs and reimagining a new presence for your creative practice online. No prior experience or existing website required!
