AA+A’s Acoustics program lands prestigious NCAC Student Travel Award

Date: 2/15/2012

The AA+A acoustics program is one of five University programs nationwide to receive the 2012 National Council of Acoustical Consultants (NCAC) Student Travel Award. NCAC is an nationally recognized organization with a strong focus on acoustics education and standards.

Along with Acoustics at Columbia College Chicago, the other recipients were: University of Hartford, University of Florida, Georgia Institute of Technology and Peabody Institute.

The award is intended to offset student travel expenses to participate in ASA Fall 2012 or INCE professional industry conferences.  The AA+A department encourages all of its seniors to submit papers for presentation at these events.  Once papers have been accepted, the Chair and the Director of the program will select one qualified student to receive the award.

The AA+A Department is honored to count NCAC within its ranks of academic partners.
