Eddie Kramer, legendary music engineer and producer (Hendrix, Zeppelin, Stones, etc.) and Rock photographer, will be at Columbia College for 3 days of events, Thursday 4/29 – Saturday 5/1.

Details for all events are outlined below. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience this influential music figure at work with Columbia College Chicago students.

Events are sponsored by Fujitsu Ten and produced by Columbia College’s Center for Asian Arts and Media in collaboration with the Audio Arts & Acoustics Department.

Note that RSVP is required for the public lecture on 4/29.

Fujitsu Ten lecture on their new EclipseTD712z Speakers

Event restricted to the Audio Arts & Acoustics Department

Where: 33 E. Congress Parkway, Lower Level, Room LL11.
Fujitsu Ten engineers will be discussing the research behind and specifications of their new EclipseTD712z speakers
These speakers will be featured throughout Kramer’s 3-day residency at Columbia College, generously sponsored by Fujitsu Ten.

Kramer rehearsal with the Claire Stahlecker Band (Music Department students)

Event restricted to the Audio Arts & Acoustics, Music, and AEMM Departments

Where: 33 E. Congress Parkway, Lower Level, Room LL11.
Producer and Band will rehearse together to musically and sonically shape the piece they will be recording/mixing/mastering in the AA&A studios on Sat 5/1.

(4) Saturday May 1st, 9am-10pm – Recording/Mixing/Mastering session

Event restricted to pre-selected Audio Arts & Acoustics students

Where: 33 E. Congress Parkway, Lower Level
Producer and Band will work together for 13 hours to produce a mastered recording of one musical piece for non-commercial release (CD, iTunes, etc.).
