Columbia College Theatre Department academic manager and directing teacher Michael Ryczek is directing a fully staged workshop of Chicago playwright Susan Lieberman’s Netta at Ninety, running Monday-Wednesday, February 23-25, at Raven Theatre, 6157 N. Clark, Chicago. The workshop is part of Raven’s [Working Title] new play development series. The cast includes Columbia Theatre faculty member Caroline Latta and alumna Laura Korn, and alumnus Jake Freund is the dramaturg. Curtain times for all three performances will be 7:30 PM. Raven’s current mainstage production is the Chicago premiere of Horton Foote’s Dividing the Estate, directed by Columbia alumnus Cody Estle, who is Raven’s associate artistic director. Other Columbians involved in that well-received show are cast members Marssie Mencotti (a Columbia faculty member) and Kathryn Acosta and Brittney LoveSmith (both alumni) and assistant director Jacqueline Wills (a student in the theatre directing program).
