WGN-TV has an immediate opening for an experienced Broadcast Audio Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for audio lead “A1” duties on a wide range of live productions. Working alone or with an A2 you will be responsible for planning, organizing, setting up and executing all aspects of audio plans for daily live studio news programs, prerecorded shows, remote broadcasts and live music segments. This includes managing and mixing wireless and wired microphones, IFB/PL/Monitor mixes, audio equipment fax/set/strike, etc. As the A1 you will be the go-to person for all audio challenges during your shift. You must be an expert troubleshooter/multitasker and thrive in a fast changing, spontaneous live production environment.
