Responsible for developing furniture layouts, specifications and proposals to ensure a successful and profitable project execution.
This position requires working directly with other team members and clients to assist in discovering the furniture layout and specification requirements.
Responsible for managing the relationship between other team members, general contractor, manufacturer and client to achieve mutual goals while communicating status throughout the project.
Manages and coordinates on-site supervision of installation, working closely with installation supervisors, contractors and other trades to ensure project progresses according to plan. Conducts pre-punch and punch-list walk through with installation supervisor and customer to compile punch-list items, proactively manage punch-list resolution and final close-out of project.
Must be able to communicate effectively to customers and with others over whom he or she has no organizational authority
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Design
Must be proficient in AutoCAD drafting, 3-D Modeling and rendering techniques
Must be able to assemble presentation materials that convey a professional appearance and reflect quality and craftsmanship
Must be proficient in reading architectural drawings
Must be able to think strategically, analytically and creatively
Must be highly organized and be sensitive and responsive to internal and external client demands and deadlines.
Must be highly motivated, personable, self-starter who is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully, many with tight deadlines.
Ability to assess, adapt and re-prioritize projects quickly when situations change.
Must have a good understanding of the mathematics required to successfully complete all phases of the design process
Must demonstrate an ability to provide creative and innovative design solutions that meet the aesthetic and functional needs of each client
Must be able to perform effectively under minimum of supervision
Must be able to work effectively as a team player on independent and group projects
Must be open to accepting direction and constructive criticism as a means of gaining the knowledge and experience needed
Must be sufficiently flexible and resourceful to cope with the time pressures and coordination challenges inherent in the position.
