Laura Miller has always been interested in the subject of healthcare. During her time at Columbia as a Creative Writing major, Laura’s written and verbal communication skills were strengthened greatly through assignments and her off-campus work experience with a chiropractor.

Laura graduated in May 2017 and immediately put those professional skills into practice with her first full-time job as a Benefits Specialist with ComPsych, the world’s largest provider of employee assistance programs.

We asked Laura what she’s most looking forward to in this new position:

“Short term, I’m looking forward to “Bagel Fridays” and buying a micro condo in the Windy City.”

“Long term, I’m looking forward to expanding my healthcare knowledge into the world of mental health, and working with a company that truly puts their clients’ best interests first.”
