Marketing and PR Internship – Gene Siskel Film Center’s Black Harvest Film Festival, Chicago, IL

The Gene Siskel Film Centers annual Black Harvest Film Festival is the Midwests largest festival of the black experience on film. The intern will have the opportunity to research and gather marketing information via the internet, Black Harvest Community Council, and other resources. They will assist in contacting individuals, organizations, and media to assist in bringing more visibility to the festival. Working on mailings and assisting to develop and maintain targeted community mailing lists. Disseminating information about events through email, phone, and social media. Assisting with opening and closing nights, and other events as-needed. Assisting with gathering of marketing data, press coverage, and other information for final report. General office work may also include answering phones and other administrative duties.

Incumbent will meet regularly with supervisor, Associate Director of Public Relations and Marketing, to discuss tasks/actions to assist in raising festivals visibility.
