MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or law school OR a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited business or data processing/information technology school. Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale OR at least a 3.5 on a 5.0 grading scale. Students must maintain the required GPA throughout the duration of their employment/internship.
DUTIES:
• Assist with conducting research for art exhibitions and programs
• Prepare, organize, and maintain research and exhibition related documentation
• Schedule and conduct off-site research visits at various public and private archive sites throughout the Chicago area (visiting the Chicago History Museum, Woodson Regional Library/CPL, South Side Community Art Center, Daley Library/UIC, and others)
• Collect, analyze, and summarize data
• Respond to research related requests
• Compile data, organize and assemble files, and provide status updates to program director as requested and ensure research information is easily accessible to the supervisor
• Attend various meetings and be able to share what was discussed
• Use various software packages to type documents, coordinate presentations, create/update/maintain spreadsheets and databases, track program/work activities, and prepare activity/status/event wrap-up and summary reports
• Research and resource finding of current trends and professional best practices
• Perform additional functions to support other DCASE activities, including assist on-site at events, routine clerical and administrative duties, and using social media to promote DCASE events and activities
• Perform related duties as required
