The Sheilah A. Doyle Foundation and Comfort Zone Camp are partnering to provide a three-day bereavement camp program for children ages 7-17 in Frankfort, IL on September 11-13.
This Comfort Zone program is for children and teens who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or guardian to homicide.
Become a Big Buddy! Each child and teen is paired 1:1 with an adult Big Buddy volunteer. The Big Buddy role includes:
*Ability to donate a weekend of your time.
*Willingness to play, talk, listen, and be silly!
*Participate in all aspects of the program.
Additional volunteer roles includes:
Nurses, Grief Therapist, General Camp Volunteers (support staff) and more. All volunteers must complete our 6 hours training and pass a background check.
