Ground Floor brings together work by Chicago’s most promising emerging talent, offering a single destination to discover the spectrum of artists whose work demands to be seen and supported.
The Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel Fellowship will provide an artist with the opportunity to develop a new body of work exploring and engaging with special collections housed at the Rubenstein Library.
Johari’s work is inspired by Hip-Hop culture and his beginnings as a street artist in L.A., and has been given a place within the AfroFuturism movement here in Chicago.
