Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Kaiser Ahmed ’08, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Directing program, is the director of Passage, running March 2 through April 10 at Theatre Wit, located at 1229 W. Belmont in Chicago’s Belmont Theatre District. Presented by Remy Bumppo Theatre, Christopher Chen’s play – inspired by E.M. Forster’s classic novel A Passage to India – concerns an immigrant trying to navigate interpersonal dynamics in a new country. As previously reported in this blog, Ahmed is artistic director and co-founder of Chicago’s Jackalope Theatre. And, as previously reported in this blog, he is a member of the Sarah Siddons Society’s new Siddons Artistic Council.
