Columbia College Chicago Theatre Dept. Faculty Bring Pulitzer Prize-Winning Drama ‘Sweat’ to Paramount March 9-April 24

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department faculty members are on the creative team of Sweat, the first production in the Paramount Theatre‘s new Bold Series. Paramount, located in downtown Aurora, Illinois, is launching the Bold Series as a four-show subscription package dedicated to fearless, unexpected, and thought-provoking intimate drama. Sweat, Lynn Nottage’s acclaimed, Pulitzer Prize-winning drama about life in an American Rust Belt town, is directed by Columbia College Theatre Department faculty member Andrea J. Dymond. The assistant director is Columbia College alum Darren Patin ’17, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance.

Columbia College Theatre Department faculty members David Woolley and Khalid Y. Long are the production’s fight choreographer and dramaturg respectively.

And Columbia College Chicago Music Department alum Jeffrey Levin ’10, a graduate of the Columbia College Music Department‘s BA Program in Music with a Composition Concentration, is the show’s sound designer.
