Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alums are in the cast and production team of Shakespeare’s drama Richard III, Shakespeare’s classic tale of ambition, power, and murder. Both a mesmerizing look at history and a mirror to our own turbulent times, Richard III stands as one of the Bard’s most indelibly entertaining, viscerally shocking dissections of the unholy marriage of greed and complacency. The show is presented by the Promethean Theatre Ensemble May 20 through June 25 at the Factory Theatre, located at 1623 W. Howard in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. For tickets, click here.
The show’s cast includes former Columbia College Theatre Department Acting program student Barry Irving. The production team includes includes Columbia College alum Therese Ritchie ’18, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre Design, who is the show’s scenic designer. The show is directed by former Columbia College Theatre Department faculty member Steve Scott.
