Columbia College Chicago Theatre Dept. Alum Directs Shakespearean Youth Theatre’s ‘As You Like It’ Feb. 25-March 6 in St. Paul, Minn.

Lukas Brasherfons

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Lukas Brasherfons ’14, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Acting with a Minor in Stage Combat, is the director of the Shakespearean Youth Theatre‘s new production of William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy As You Like It, running February 25 through March 6 at the Gremlin Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Journey to the delightful land of Rosalind and Orlando as they fall in love in the forest of Arden, turn hardship into triumph, and use their affection for each other to create a better world. Return to the theatre with Shakespeare at his most hilarious and heartfelt, and decide for yourself whether or not “all the world’s a stage.” Expect the unexpected in Shakespeare’s surprisingly experimental comedy, as the SYT ensemble brings a daring new aesthetic to a time-honored classic, and finds a warm, rich, bittersweet story that can still push theatrical boundaries after 400 years. For tickets, click here.
