Columbia College Chicago Theatre Dept. Alum Featured in ‘Nightwatch’ at Goodman Theatre’s New Stages Festival Dec. 1-19

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Alec Silver ’17, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, is featured in the 17th annual New Stages Festival at Chicago’s Tony Award-winning Goodman Theatre. Silver appears in the festival’s developmental production of Nightwatch, by Max Yu, running December 1 through 19 at the Goodman, located at 170 N. Dearborn in Chicago’s Loop. In Nightwatch, Silver plays Leo, a 20-year-old college dropout living in San Francisco’s Chinatown, who delves into his family’s untold past in the Chinese Communist Cultural Revolution in order to reckon with unknown history and generations of hidden family stories.

The show’s lighting designer is Theatre Department faculty member Heather Gilbert, a teacher in the Theatre Department’s Theatre Design program.
