Presented by the CSOC Company, LLC, and recorded for virtual performance, Magus Park is directed by Columbia College alum Ryan Liddell ’15, a graduate of the college’s Cinema Arts and Science program with a Minor in Acting from the Theatre Department. Liddell also appears in the film.
Other cast members include Columbia College alumni Nicholas Casey ’18, Chloe Streif ’17, and Alexander Stuart ’17, all graduates of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting with a Minor in Stage Combat; Katheryn Pucillo ’17, a graduate of the Acting BA program with a Minor in Stage Combat and a Minor in Dance from the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago; and Tristin Hall ’18 and Meme Matteson ’18, both graduates of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre (Hall also has a Stage Combat Minor).
Filmed in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, Magus Park “crosses the blurry border between the mundane and mysterious,” says the film’s enigmatic description on the Minnesota Fringe website. “Though some might call it geocaching, the cache in Magus Park bridges the ordinary to the extraordinary. A fun, poignant slice of life.” Magus Park will be streaming at the Minnesota Fringe Festival website August 5 through 15.
