Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Khanisha Foster ’02, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, is featured in The 3rd Annual Logan Festival of Solo Performance, running July 11 through 21 at 1st Stage, located at 1524 Spring Hill Road in Tysons, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C.
Foster will perform her one-person show Joy Rebel, which she previously performed at the Penumbra Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota. Described as a “poetic stage memoir,” the work is inspired by Foster’s childhood memory of a grandmother who loved her but condemned her parents’ interracial relationship.
