Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alums are featured in the classic musical comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, running May 16 through June 29 at Metropolis Performing Arts.

The 1962 show by Larry Gelbart, Burt Shevelove, and Stephen Sondheim skillfully combines time-tested comedies of the ancient Roman playwright Plautus with the infectious energy of classic vaudeville. The cast of Metropolis’ new production includes Columbia alums
Madelyne Forrester ’18, Natalie Renee Savoy ’18, and Sophie Vitello ’19, all graduates of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance.
