The Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department is proud to announce that Columbia College alumnus Michael Matthews ’99, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, and former Columbia College Theatre Department student Michael A. Shepperd are co-hosting a Columbia Theatre Alumni Social at the renowned Celebration Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 20. Columbia College Theatre alums from the Los Angeles area are invited to socialize, reminisce, and network with fellow creatives at the event, which starts at 7 PM at Celebration Theatre, 6760 Lexington, Los Angeles. Shepperd and Matthews, both former Chicago theatre artists, are Celebration’s artistic director and resident director respectively.

Registration for the Columbia Theatre Alumni Social is $15. All proceeds directly support the Theatre Department at Columbia College Chicago. For more information, click here.

The Columbia Theatre Alumni Social is organized by Columbia College Chicago’s Development and Alumni Relations office, which last October partnered with the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department to offer the first-ever Columbia College Theatre Reunion Weekend at the Getz Theater Center of Columbia College. The Columbia Theatre Alumni Reunion is offered in conjunction with Celebration Theatre’s Los Angeles premiere of Born to Win, running February 13 through March 31 at Celebration Theatre. The show is directed by Michael Matthews, whose multiple awards include the 2015 Milton Katselas Award for career or special achievement in direction from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle.
