A new musical by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Preston Max Allen ’13, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting who also took courses in the Theatre Department’s Musical Theatre and Comedy programs, will be performed in a concert reading at Joe’s Pub, the cabaret space in New York City’s Public Theatre, on Sunday, August 26. We Are the Tigers, with music and lyrics by Allen, is a dark comedy musical that both parodies and appreciates the angst of adolescence with a suspenseful, twist-filled mystery and infectious pop/rock score.
