Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni and student talent is featured in the Chicago premiere of The View Upstairs, running June 22 through July 22 at the Pride Arts Center, 4139 N. Broadway, Chicago. Presented by Circle Theatre Chicago, the musical is inspired by the real-life events of the 1973 arson at a New Orleans gay bar, the UpStairs Lounge, in which 32 people died.

The cast includes Columbia College Theatre Department alum Jennifer Ledesma ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, and Juwon Perry, a current student in the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance. Former Theatre Department student Jon Martinez is the show’s choreographer. And Theatre Department alum J.C. Widman ’14, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Technical Theatre program, is the stage manager. For tickets, click here.
