Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni are in the cast and creative team for the musical Hairspray, presented June 8 through 24 by BrightSide Theatre in the Chicago suburb of Naperville.

The show’s co-director is Theatre Department alumnus Barry R. Norton ’87, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre. Columbia College alum Brandon Lewis ’08, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Design and Technology program, is the show’s set designer. And alum Jessica Curtis ’03, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, is the props designer. The show’s cast includes Logan Friese, a current student in the Theatre Department’s Musical Theatre BA program, as well as Columbia College alum Sean Michael Williams ’14, a graduate of Columbia College’s Cinema Art and Science program.
