Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus Michael Aaron Pogue ’06, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Acting BA program, is directing the opening production of Eclipse Theatre‘s 25th anniversary season: Force Continuum, by Kia Corthron. The drama — about an African-American police officer struggling with the contradictions of his race and his profession while confronting the black community he is bound to protect — runs April 13-May 21 at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport, in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.

Force Continuum marks Pogue’s directorial debut with Eclipse Theatre. He is well known as an actor in Chicago from his performances in such productions as Eclipse’s Ruined and Six Degrees of Separation, Court Theatre’s Angels in America, Raven Theatre’s Radio Golf, and American Blues Theater’s Dutchman.
