Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus Cody Estle (BA ’11), a graduate of Columbia College’s Theatre Directing program, is directing a new production of Anton Chekhov’s classic drama The Seagull at The Artistic Home, 1376 W. Grand, Chicago. Estle, who previously directed The Artistic Home’s production of Lillian Hellman’s Watch on the Rhine, is also associate artistic director of Raven Theatre in Chicago.
The Seagull‘s ensemble includes Columbia alum Kaiser Ahmed (BA ’08), also a graduate of the Theatre Directing program. Ahmed is an Artistic Home company member as well as co-founder and associate artistic director of Jackalope Theatre Company.
Claire Sangster (BA ’12), a graduate of the Columbia College Theatre Department’s Theatre Design BA program, is the show’s lighting designer. Sangster is also a company member of Jackalope Theatre.
