Alumni of the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department‘s musical theatre program are featured in The Producers, playing at Chicago’s Mercury Theater starting April 14.
The Producers, the hit musical comedy about two crooked Broadway producers trying to put on a sure-to-fail show, co-stars Harter Clingman (BFA ’11), a graduate of the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department’s Musical Theatre Performance BFA program. Clingman plays Franz Liebkind, an unrepentant Nazi who has written a theatrical love letter to his former fuhrer, “Springtime for Hitler.”

The Producers cast also features Leah Morrow (BA ’05), a graduate of Columbia College’s Musical Theatre BA program. Frances Maggio, a coordinator of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Design program, is the show’s costume designer.
