(VIDEO) Columbia College Chicago Alum’s New Play About Meth Dealer Premieres in Hawaii Jan. 21-Feb. 21

Columbia College Chicago alum Hannah Ii-Epstein (BA ’15), a graduate of the college’s fiction writing program, has a new play opening in her native Hawaii. Ii-Epstein’s drama Not One Batu receives its world premiere January 21-February 21 at the Kumu Kahua Theatre in Honolulu. The one-act focuses on a methamphetamine user-turned-dealer and her struggle to stay clean in world turned upside-down by meth.

Hannah Ii-Epstein and her wife–Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Anna Rose Ii-Epstein (BFA ’07), a graduate of the Theatre Department’s acting program–are the co-founders of Chicago’s Nothing Without a Company theatre, which produced Hannah Ii-Epstein’s play Punk Punk last year.
