Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni and faculty are appearing in a concert reading of a new musical Monday-Tuesday, April 13-14, at the Windy City Playhouse, 3014 W. Irving Park Rd., in Chicago. Presented by the FWD Theatre Project, the show is called Love and Other Fables. Columbia College Musical Theatre Performance BFA program alumnus Alex Newkirk is musical director, and the cast includes Columbia Musical Theatre program alumni Harter Clingman and Allie Jae as well as Columbia Theatre faculty member (and Jeff Award-winning actress) Barbara Robertson. Love and Other Fables is described as a “screwball romantic comedy” about the ancient Greek storyteller Aesop. Showtime is 7 PM both nights; tickets are $15.
