20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus Mike Mroch has directed a new adaptation of Jules Verne’s classic science-fiction adventure tale 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The show runs March 9-April 7 at intimate Hugen Hall at Strawdog Theatre, 3829 N. Broadway, Chicago. Mroch is a Strawdog Theatre ensemble member as well as the company’s managing director. Other Columbia alumni involved in the production include cast members Erin O’Brien and Emilie Modaff and lighting designer John Kelly. Mroch’s assistant director is current directing student Spencer Diedrick. Strawdog’s artistic director, Hank Boland, is a Columbia College Chicago Cinema Art + Science faculty member.
