As a commercial and freelance photographer for fifteen years, I left the business and Boston, Ma to pursue my MFA in Photography at Columbia College Chicago. The lure of a dedicated photography program that allowed for the merging of analog and digital creation positioned Columbia as the best place to start my academic career. I am proud to create work that centers Black and BIPOC women in the South Side of Chicago as well as pursuing a visual family history via my upcoming travels provided by the Abelson Scholarship.
