What made you choose Columbia?

I chose Columbia for the diverse array of working professionals and artists on the staff.  I felt that learning from them and working with them would greatly expand my knowledge base as well as the phenomenal networking opportunities that would present themselves.

What is your favorite thing about the Interdisciplinary Arts MA program so far?

The opportunity to delve head first into several different disciplines… something like a crash course where you have to get either acquainted for the first time or reacquainted in a more exploratory fashion.  On top of that, you are able to ride through the process with a core group of individuals for support.

What project are you working on right now that you are excited about?

I am working on a form of sonic curation for Krista Franklin‘s (MFA candidate) thesis project.  It is something that I have always wanted to undertake, and it was born from a previous collaborative effort in the Sound: Theory and Practice course.  It is an awesome narrative, and it’s allowing me to practice creativity in a fashion I hadn’t pursued in years.  I can’t wait to see how it is received along with the rest of Krista’s work.  Did I say that I was completely honored to have Krista approach me to work with her?
