International Student Organization (ISO)
Columbia’s International Student Organization (ISO) is a group that consists of over 400 members aiming to promote cultural exchange within the college. The group consists of both domestic and international students, providing a space for all individuals to feel a sense of community. Not only do they host their own events on and off campus, they also have an ISO-Newsletter featuring current student statements and artwork. This is a good way for students to get their art circulating and its content is also open to public contributions, which only further enhances the spread of their work. If you would like to participate you can shoot them an email at isss@colum.edu
ISO’s weekly meetings take place on Fridays at 5:30, wherein they do a wide range of activities from cultural workshops, to game nights, to seasonal activities, to field trips to Chicago’s iconic attractions, and more. You can learn more about their mission and events via their Facebook page here and their handbook here.
