SPOTLIGHT ON: STUDENT PROGRAMMING BOARD EVENTS


December has pretty much arrived and with it came the snow.  You are likely preparing for the final push in all of your classes for the semester.  Tests, projects, finals, and loose ends will all add up to keep the pressure on until winter break.  With all that will be on your mind, it will be important to mange your schedule and to set aside time for cutting loose in order to stay balanced.  SPB happens to have you covered when you need a break from the grind, so don’t get cabin fever just yet.
WHAT: Little Mouth
WHEN: November 28, 2018 – 623 S. Wabash Haus – 7-9 pm.
EVENT DESPCRIPTION: Goodnight Little Mouth – Slip on your PJ’s and bunny slippers because SPB is having a sleepover.  A chill night of music, spoken word, prose, and more.  Signups at 6, doors at 6:30, show from 7-10.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Anyone can signup to perform at this popular open mic style event.  Stage time is based on a first come first serve basis, with signups starting at 6pm.  Bands, poetry, spoken word, and prose are just some of the performances you might see.  You can attend as a performer or as a spectator, either way it will be a good way to see what other students are creating.  This Wednesday also features a performance by the house band And and the Bandits.  Check out a taste of their stuff here……
WHAT: GAME ON
WHEN: December 6, 2018 – 1104 S. Wabash, Conaway Center, 7-9 pm
EVENT DESCRIPTION: A fun night of games including air hockey, foosball, plinko, and so much more. Play games for a chance to win awesome prizes.
ADDITIONAL INFO:  Thursday December 6 form 7-9 Game On will be taking place.  SPB has organized a bunch of activities to help you escape from deadlines and finals preparation.  Meet new people, come alone, or bring your friends, this event will likely have a big turnout.  With the popularity of arcades and game centers popping up all across the city, SPB has brought the action to your front door.  No need to travel to Emporium in Logan Square, take a break at Game On and win prizes while you relax.
