Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)

Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)

Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in April will help everyone become more knowledgeable about issues related to sexual misconduct, including sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.

The Sexual Assault Awareness Education Committee (SAAEC) will engage Columbia students in a creative way and ignite conversations about the role consent plays in healthy sexual activity between partners. Consent Rocks, The Clothesline Project, Get your Hands OFF Me! and Standing Silent Witness are a few of the events organized throughout the next few weeks to foster important dialogue!

For more details about each, please click here.

If students are interested in helping with these events, they should contact Janely Rivera (jrivera@colum.edu). Additional information about Columbia College Chicago’s resources and Sexual Misconduct policy can be found by visiting www.colum.edu/sexualassault

Come join us during SAAM. Everyone plays a role in ending sexual violence on campus.
