Around Town – VOICES Fall Symposium

Thanks to our partners at ITL, each month the Sexual Assault Awareness Education Committee (SAAEC) will bring you information regarding what resources are available to you as a member of our Columbia Community.

This month, we’re highlighting the upcoming VOICES Fall Symposium 2017.

Violence On Illinois Campuses Elimination Strategies (VOICES) and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office will be holding this event on October 20, 2017 from 8:30am-1:00pm at Harry S Truman College.

Come and learn how Title IX protects you in the event of Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence and/or Stalking. The event will also feature information on crisis intervention counseling and the warning signs of abuse.

The Keynote Speaker is a former student survivor and activist, Savannah Badalich – founder of 7,000 in Solidarity at UCLA and current researcher and human rights activist.

Please keep in mind that space is limited and RSVP is required through the Eventbrite link.
