Daniel Livingstone
I am Daniel Livingstone, a 19-year old photo major here at Columbia. I’ve been in the city of Chicago my entire life and didn’t realize my passion for photography and the arts as a whole until mid-senior year of high school. This is going to be my second year here at Columbia since my transfer from Loyola University.
My passion lies in shooting human subjects which means my work ranges from professional head shots to lifestyle portraits and everything in between. I love collaborating with makeup-artists, models, assistants, digital techs, and sometimes even creative directors because it makes the process so much more fulfilling. One of my main goals here at Columbia is to work with as many other creative individuals as possible in order to grow and learn from each other. In my personal work, I try to focus on how colors affect the mood and message of an image and each photo attempts to fit a certain look or aesthetic to easily convey how the audience is supposed to feel about it.
