This is the fifth annual edition of Emergence, which provides emerging dance companies, choreographers and artists with an opportunity to present their work in a fully produced setting.
Choreographers whose work will be featured in this year’s Emergence include Johnny Huntoon and Columbia College alum Julia Kummerow ’15, both graduates of the Dance Center’s BA Program in Dance.
Dancers in Emergence include Columbia College alum Morgan Cutler ’19, a graduate of the Dance Center’s BFA Program in Dance, and student Chantene Doss, a senior in the Dance Center’s Dance BA program with a Minor in Acting from the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department. Both are dancers with Alluvion Dance Chicago. The lighting designer is Claire Doty, a student in the Theatre Department’s Theatre Design and Technology BA program.
