Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago faculty members are in the ensemble and creative team of Rooming House, a new dance-theatre work presented by Lucky Plush Productions as part of Steppenwolf Theatre Company‘s LookOut Series. Co-created by Julia Rhoads and Leslie Buxbaum Danzig, the work focuses on a group of friends who are propelled into a physically and psychologically complex game of whodunit. From life-endangering rescues to letting go of someone you love, players tell and re-tell stories to excavate and create a semblance of truth.
The work was devised in collaboration with a six-member ensemble, including Dance Center faculty members Michael Rodriguez Cintra and Meghann Wilkinson. Composer Michael Caskey is also a Dance Center faculty member and accompanist.
This world premiere takes place at Steppenwolf’s 1700 Theatre, located at 1700 N. Halsted, Chicago. Student discount tickets are available. For tickets, call 312-335-1650 or click here.
