Columbia College Chicago Dance Center Concerts Benefit Scholarships May 12-13

The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago celebrates the end of the 2015-2016 school year with student performances of work by faculty and guest choreographers. The Dance Center’s Repertory Performance Workshop and Faculty Concert will be held on Thursday and Friday, May 12 and 13, at 8 PM each night. Admission is by donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Dance program’s scholarship fund. No reservations are necessary.

Choreographers whose work will be performed include Dance Center faculty members Pam McNeil, Margi ColeDardi McGinley-Gallivan, and Trae Turner and guest artists Rennie Harris and Jessica Miller Tomlinson. Performances of the Repertory Performance Workshop and Faculty Concert take place at the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago, 1306 S. Michigan, Chicago.

Friday’s performance is held in conjunction with Columbia College Chicago‘s 16th annual Manifest Urban Arts Festival. Curated and managed by more than 1,000 Columbia students, Manifest features dozens of performances, gallery exhibitions, fashion shows, and literary readings by undergraduate and graduate students completing their final semester.
