WTMJ-TV, Today’s TMJ4- the Scripps-owned station in fabulous Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a Creative Photojournalist to join our team.
As a Photojournalist at TODAY’S TMJ4, you will be responsible for shooting and editing stories, including general news, features, and sports stories for use in television newscasts.
Key activities:
* Capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms
* Run live microwave truck and backpack units
* Work closely with newsroom personnel to create and develop news stories
* Respond quickly to breaking news while taking direction form the news room
* Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to operate electronic news gathering equipment for the shooting and editing of television news
* Knowledge of lighting and use of natural sound
* Must be proficient lighting interviews and capable of utilizing 3 point lighting
* Must be available to work weekends, longer hours or varying shifts when necessary to meet production and broadcast deadlines
* Must be able to work well under pressure and with others to develop and execute compelling newscasts
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
