Position Vision:
The position of Server I requires learning the skills necessary to understand guests’ needs and make accommodations during their dining experience to exceed their expectations. It is imperative to understand that while technical skills are necessary in any position, positive behaviors and respecting ourselves and our teams within our company come first. Without creating a supportive cultural experience through trust and teaching from within, our company does not shine through to our ultimate goal. That goal is to simply make ‘everyone’s life a little better’ by creating exceptional experiences and serving food we love. We embrace this goal because when we make people feel good, we feel good. A formal training outline will be set forth to target & mentor position specific skills and traits of a customer service position within Food for Thought.

Position Summary:
This position requires the candidate perform the steps of service while remaining constantly engaged and empathetic in guest interactions. The Server I will show genuine interest in evaluating guest satisfaction and must take steps to ensure that every guest has a positive experience. Doing this will involve working with the front of house team to provide a welcoming environment and working with the back of house team to ensure efficient, accurate service.

The Server I must have a working knowledge of server duties including but not limited to: steps of service, wine service, table maintenance, buffet set up and maintenance, allergy awareness, and proper truck unloading/ loading.

The Server will report directly to the Event Supervisor.
