Albany Park Theater Project is seeking a special kind of soul to join our team in this position that merges programming and arts administration. First and foremost, you need to demonstrate the skill and desire to connect with and engage culturally diverse constituents and communities, particularly Latino and African American communities. You need to respect and enjoy teenagers. You need to be passionate about art and about progressive social change.
You’ll wear many hats, juggling multiple projects and timelines, and meeting tight deadlines. You’ll need to be confident and comfortable working independently; we are looking for a self-starter with fire and passion. However, due to the ensemble nature of our APTP community, you also need to be a collaborator: you’ll be part of a team that makes many of its decisions by consensus; and you’ll need to have confidence yet sensitivity when representing APTP solo in diverse communities throughout our city.
