The Jean Albano Gallery in Chicago’s River North gallery district is seeking part-time Gallery Assistant. Must have experience.
The ideal candidate will be personable, organized, and self-motivated. Must be able to meet deadlines, multi-task, and interact well with clients and artists.
The Gallery Assistant provides administrative support to the Gallery Director. Responsibilities include inventory and database management, writing promotional press materials, designing invitations and catalogues, tracking and ordering supplies, and staffing openings and special events. Must be comfortable working with clients and artists to facilitate sales and provide customer service.
Some gallery experience and familiarity with contemporary art preferred. A background in sales or marketing is a plus. Computer research skills and working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop are also required.
