Marketing and Office Manager / Tour Guide – Chicago Detours 

Chicago Detours tour company is hiring a multi-talented individual to work part- to full-time as both a tour guide (25% of the time) and marketing/office manager (75% of the time). Office work includes managing bookings, which requires a meticulous attention to details. Tasks also include online marketing, such as creating and editing content that expresses the educational, visual and fun nature of our guided tours of history, architecture and culture. 

-Answer phone calls from potential customers.
-Process and organize bookings for public and private tours. 
-Manage communications with guides, including the tour guide schedule.
-Maintain office organization and supplies.
-Develop online community-building strategies.
-Implement marketing and sales campaigns to new markets, including cold calls, and content-driven marketing strategies.
-Write, edit and proofread blog posts, press releases, and other marketing communications. 
-Write blog posts about architectural history, contemporary architecture, city planning, history, cultural curiosities, and special events.
