Grand, majestic, larger than life.  There’s no other way to describe the scale of physical size and strength of the Lyric and what goes into producing world class opera.  We owe an even bigger thanks to Jesse Gram, the audience education manager, for taking us behind-the-scenes and explaining the delicate balance between cast & crew. I had no idea how long a singer’s voice needs to rest in between performances, hence why there are multiple shows running during the season. 

The complexity of lighting, costuming, and producing multiple performances simultaneously is just as orchestrated as the music itself.
