Group Advising will take place prior to Spring ’20 registration.

Congratulations on kicking off your first year at Columbia College Chicago! You received an e-mail inviting you to Group Advising at the College Advising Center.

During orientation, advisors covered a lot of information rather quickly. Group Advising will allow them to hold a more detailed discussion and answer the questions that you and other students in your major have. Plus, Group Advising is an opportunity to fulfill your first year advising requirement!

Group Advising will take place in October and cover topics like:

• Which classes to register for next semester
• Whether or not to declare a minor or change majors
• How to use college-wide electives
• Advising tools in MyColumbia
• How to construct a graduation plan
