Closed Sessions Interviews with Windy City Live!

Monday, January 25th, founder of Closed Sessions, Alex Fruchter, interviewed on Windy City Live! Alex is also a lecturer in the Business & Entrepreneurship department.

The interview focused on Closed Sessions’ contribution/involvement with the local hip hop community. Following the interview, Kweku Collins, one of Closed Sessions’ artists, spoke with WCL and performed his song “Memorial”, which is dedicated to his great grandmother.

“I hope it [the interview] just shows the students that I’m not teaching from a textbook or my past experiences, but in the here and now. The ideas we discuss, argue about, and theorize on are ones that I put into play everyday. I learn from the kids just as much as they learn from me. I hope some of them were watching and have pointers,” Alex Fruchter added about his interview’s impact on his classes.
